Energy Management rubbed shoulders with stars of the golfing world and former top-level rugby players on Thursday to help raise money for the Dorothy House Hospice.
A team of four competed in a Charity Golf Day, organised by Marble Works of Bath and hosted by BT Rugby frontman David Flatman, at the highly-acclaimed Cumberwell Park Golf Club just outside Bradford-on-Avon.
Open Championship golfer Laurie Canter was present to lend his support just a few weeks after competing at Royal Birkdale and he was joined by European tour pro, Jordan Smith, plus former British & Irish Lions rugby stars, Jeremy Guscott, Jason Leonard and Mike Catt and Craig Chalmers.
Energy Management’s four-ball included CEO Steve Retford and son, Joe, who is striving to become a full-time golf professional, Sales Director Malcolm Barrington and former Bristol City and Bath City goalkeeper Steve Langley.
While a stiff breeze and grey skies made for tricky playing conditions, the event was a big success with thousands of pounds raised for Dorothy House.
The event was won by Bath Rugby legend Guscott and his team, while Energy Management finished a creditable sixth.
